    I hesitated to write about this topic since it is very sensitive to my culture. I will try to summarize my opinion respectfully in few lines. First of all, euthanasia is to end someone's life to relieve their endless pain whether it was physical or psychological. Some argue that it should be legalized and others believe that is must be banned. Both parties have their own reasons behind their claims. 

    As for my opinion, I think my answer depends on the case severity. For example, a patient in coma can wake up anytime regardless on his health condition. In this case, ending his life would be killing any chance of his survival. What if he woke up the next morning and continued his life happily and successfully? On the other hand, a brain-dead patient is living on life support machines. This person is clinically dead since his brain can not function at all and there is no chance of his survival. This makes him an eligible organ donor who can save around 30 persons. Are we extending his death or his life for this case? 

    Moreover, euthanasia should be conducted professionally by doctors in order to be legalized. Doctors are protecting their patients and they know the best way to end their lives painlessly. A person in the medical care system has the right to share his knowledge and advice the patient;however, the decision is up to the patient. A living person  should have the right to decide to end his life after an approval from the court. In order to receive the legal  permission of mercy killing, a person should go through medical and psychological analysis to determine the severity of the case. Overall, euthanasia is a controversial topic that should be legalized depending on the situation of the patient. 

Your Digital Footprint is Hunting You

      Imagine if there was a person who can track your movements and find out where you live. This is scary in real life for all of us, but have you thought about the same scenario in  the virtual world? I can figure out which websites you are browsing right now because you forgot to clean up your digital footprint. Internet users can be easily tracked from the IP address of their personal computer. Digital footprinting is helpful in finding a person who hacked a company's system or posted inappropriate content on a website. Thus, there has been a debate about Internet regulations and freedom of speech. 

     Some people argue that freedom of speech is incompatible with internet censorship. Their claim is based on the fact that the internet is a virtual world which can not be compared with the real world. For example, David had a facebook page on animal rights, yet nothing has been done by him to protect the homeless animals on the street. An online page is like a paper, if you could not find it and contribute a movement to what's written, then it will fade away without being noticed. On the other hand, others believe that freedom of speech is strongly associated with internet regulation. Freedom of speech gives a person the ability to express themselves without being stopped. The same concept applies on internet censorship because browsing the web shall not be limited by a higher authority. For example, Lara is writing an article about harassments in lower income families. She found a lot of resources on cyberbullying, racial but few on sexual harassment. Her research could not be completed since most websites are being blocked by the government due to explicit content. Lara's freedom of reading was restricted and she had to change the topic of her paper. 

      In conclusion, I believe that the government should not regulate the internet because people have the well to make their own choices. This well should be respected as long as it will not harm the society. The overall aspect of internet censorship is associated with respect and morals. Both can be obtained from the education system and parenting behaviours. Once those two are gained, the world would be a better one.

The thought of a better life is non-existable

Surprised by the single moon and million stars above him

Both tried to give him insight into spreading his wings

But he never listened .. never moved a muscle

He closed his eyes ..  waiting for another present

Memory Triggering Songs

To be frank, I hesitated before publishing this post for one main reason. I simply do not feel comfortable sharing my emotions with everyone especially if the song has changed my life dramatically. On the other hand, I want to inspire others by sharing my emotional moments with them. Since the second thought wins over the first one, I decided to share this song since it touched my soul. The song is: I WAS HERE by Beyonce. Her song is full of energy and it gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it. It definitely exceeded my expectations since I am not a big fan of such music. Beyonce performed the song on the World Humanitarian Day at the United Nations in 2011. One of the remarkable words were: 

"I just want them to know
That I gave my all, did my best
Brought someone to happiness
Left this world a little better just because
I was here " 

Most people think that the song theme is implicit because of the video but once they read the lyrics, they get amazed by how meaningful those words are. I believe this song is by far one of Beyonce's best songs, besides " Single Ladies! The violation of human rights nowadays is outrages;thus, listening to such words make us realize the importance of one's life. Overall, let's embrace our present by making an impact in order to be part of the revolutionary world.

Manipulated by the Law

Justice and law can be two faces of the same coin; however, this is not always correct in most circumstances. According to the philosopher Lycophron who said " law is a contract and surety (to guarantee) to one another their rights, but not sufficient to make the citizens themselves good and just" (Cooper, 2007). He believed that laws were written to be enforced on people in order to control their freedom. Moreover, the law have not provided enough justice to the society since criminals are motivated to break it.

Nowadays, the scenario is almost the same as how he defined justice will be. As a matter of fact, Dr.Popper said about justice " It is the most fitting expression of the humanitarian" (Popper, 2011). Humans are blessed for having the ability to choice their life paths since we have braincells to define what's wrong and right. We have the instinct to be honest and respectful because this is how we want others to treat us. Additionally, the relationship between "just laws" and "just citizens" by Lycophron is limited by our boundaries. For example, Robin Hood was an outlaw since he did not follow the law of Nottingham and he was stealing from the rich and donate it to the poor. He was being against the law of his country;however, he was has his own law of the greenwood (Wright, 2013). His law consists of protecting the people who are in need even if it means that he will have to robe some money from the nobles. I believe his good intentions are justifying his actions regardless of the harm that is being done.

In conclusion, Lycophron's theory about justice and law is controversial for several years. Both sides have valid arguments, yet the decision is based on which perspective the reader is focusing on. Overall, justice is meant to provide a proper respectful life for the society wither it is written or not.

YOU are NOT Independent

I believe that the best way to understand the meaning of a vague topic is to analyze the outcome of its paradox. The realization of the important aspects will result in a better recognition of the wisdom behind such topic. In this case, the definition of dependency and how it affects our lives will be our main focus.   

First of all, a society consists of people who feel bounded by its valuable culture and depend on each other to enrich their experience. Logically, those individuals are loyal, faithful and willing to sacrifice their lives to protect their country for freedom. The level of freedom varies from the war of independence to the freedom of expression. For instance, is it possible to be free when we are being judged by the society since we are part of it? Mahatma Gandhi said “Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.”  Therefore, our choices are controlled by unwritten boundaries and rules of our cherished society and the world around us.   

Secondly, every human being consists of physical and personality characters which are inherited from the people around us. For example, we are the outcome of two persons' intimate relationship which shaped our physical features. In fact, when we were children, our appearance was identical to one of our parents or close relatives. As a result, during big family gatherings everyone is sure that we are related to them since blood is bonding us together. Also, the person’s interpersonal skills are obtained from the people around him since they raised him to behave in a certain way. Does this mean that you are independent from your family?

Moreover, the human body is a collection of organs connected together with muscles, nerves and veins. Undoubtedly, the body system works in a functional rhythm depending on the role of each organ and monitored by the brain cells. When you catch a winter flu, the white blood cells will fight the infection which will result in raising your body temperature, increasing heart rate and exhausting you physically. This defense mechanism aims to collaborate the energy of your heart  and lungs to protect you from the deadly virus. In a word, this would not have happened if each organ was independent from one another.

In conclusion, not a living object is fully independent, we are all dependent one way or another in different aspects. What keeps us alive is the connection that we have to one another towards improving our well-being.  So, let's respect our differences and appreciate our connection because the world will not be beautiful and meaningful without us harmonizing together.
